For George and Gloria Subraj, building a life in Queens was rooted in hard work, opportunity and service to others. After immigrating from Guyana in 1971, George worked tirelessly to support his family and, alongside his brothers, went on to co-found Zara Realty. As his success grew, so did his commitment to giving back—especially to the Guyanese community in Queens and Guyana, where cardiovascular disease had personally affected his family. Following George’s passing in 2017, his family honored his legacy through the George Subraj Family Foundation, dedicated to improving cardiac health and empowering future generations. Read more here.
