
Gloria Subraj and George Subraj were married for 43 years before his sudden passing in 2017. They met in Queens, NY where they settled to raise their family before moving to New Hyde Park on Long Island. Gloria worked tirelessly as a nurse’s aid for Seniors while seamlessly running her household with 4 children for years until her retirement in 2015. Gloria is now the head of the foundation and she strives to support the foundation in its various efforts to help all who may need.

Tony Subraj, George’s youngest child and only son is now is the Vice President at Zara Realty Holding Corp., overseeing the company’s residential apartment portfolio, as well the company’s expansion into acquiring new properties. Tony holds a Masters of Science in Real Estate Science from New York University, in addition to a M.B.A. in Business Computers with a minor in Economics and a B.A. in Finance, both from Hofstra University. He credits all of business savvy to his father’s teaching and hopes to honor his father’s memory by continuing the philanthropic work he began.

Jasmine Subraj, George’s daughter, is now is a manager of the lease department at Zara Realty Holding Corp. A resident of Manhasset Hills, Jasmine holds a BA in Psychology from Molloy College, in addition to a Masters of Arts degree in Industrial Organizational psychology. Jasmine has begun to accompany the team on their medical missions and is at the forefront of all decision-making endeavors for the foundation.

Vibha Subraj, Tony’s wife of 13 years and a high school English teacher in for the NYC DOE in Queens, is now involved in the foundation by assisting them in new endeavors especially in the realm of education and technology and keeping George’s legacy alive as an example for his two grandsons.

Rishi Singh has been a long standing trusted friend of the family and now works closely with the foundation in many capacities. He most recently travelled to Suriname to assist in the first ever kidney transplant in the country. He is currently the owner of Lion’s Guard Brokerage and his prior medical background is useful to the team during intricate medical missions

Richard Mahese, a well-known TV and radio personality in Guyana came to the US and has now been working as a journalist. He has been dedicated to chronicling George’s unique and inspirational story even after his death. George found Richard to be a dependable and loyal friend. Today, Richard is an important part of the foundation’s board as he documents all the foundation’s accomplishments as an experienced photographer. Richard’s keen eye for detail and his vast experience makes him a valued member of the team.

Jay Jainaraine was a close friend of George’s up until the time of his passing. George depended on and confided in Jay and Jay has been integral in all of the logistical work that goes into organizing the complex expeditions to Guyana and Suriname. He coordinates details with doctors, patients and all other involved parties to ensure that all the operations are successful.
